PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust a print density by sharing members to be used for normally processing photoprint images without setting a special measuring device such as a densitometer or the like in a print apparatus of a TA system. SOLUTION: A test pattern of a predetermined photoprint gradation value (gray) is printed to a print paper 50 similarly to a normal image. Then, the test pattern of the print paper is supplied between a home position(HP) sensor 40 and a fixing lamp (fluorescent lamp 42 for Y fixing). Light irradiated from the lamp 42 and reflected by the test pattern is received by a light receiving sensor of the HP sensor 40. A density of the test pattern is detected from a quantity of the received light. A quantity of heat to be added to the print paper 50 by a thermal head 36 is adjusted to turn the density to a reference density. A variation in print density because of dispersion in characteristics of the print paper 50 or the like is prevented accordingly. |
