PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a comact equipment by reducing the amt. of sludge to be treated. SOLUTION: Org. waste water A is subjected to aerobic biological treatment in a biological treatment tank 3 and the treated liquid B is separated into treated water C and sludge D in a sedimentation tank 5 and a part of the sludge D separated in the sedimentation tank 5 is returned to the biological treatment tank 3 through a route 6 and the other part of the sludge E separated in the sedimentation tank 5 is conc. in a membrane separator 8 to be solubilized by thermophilic bacteria in a solubilization tank 10.
