PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a diamond polisher from easily clogging by forming a number of projections on a grinding surface, and burying diamond abrasive grains in the projections, preferably in the points of projections in a partially exposed state. SOLUTION: In manufacturing a polisher mounted on a grinder to be properly used for removing the coating on an external wall, a pool, a bridge pier and the like, diamond abrasive grains 21 are put in hollows 12 on a bottom of an annular groove 15 one by one. Then a material prepared by blending and stirring a plural kind of metallic powder such as copper, iron, cobalt, tin, tungsten and the like is packed in the annular groove 15, then a board 17 of the polisher is fitted to a forming die 13 and placed on a forming die 16, and a forming die 19 is mounted thereon. Then the forming die 19 is pressed by a presser to compress and mold the metallic powder, and the metallic powder is sintered thereafter. Whereby a polisher having a number of projections 23 in bowl-shaped cross section and provided with the diamond abrasive grains 21 buried in the points of projection 23 in a partially exposed state, can be obtained.
