PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building board which is capable of desirably coating even an edge part of lumber in a tile or stone-like color and has a natural tile style or a stonemasonry style as if genuine tiles or stones coated thereby. SOLUTION: This building board is produced through the steps comprising forming a coated surface 6 on the whole surface of a substrate 1 having a joint groove 1a, and subsequently, coating with a mask to cover rile surfaces 1b and the edge part of lumber and expose only the bottom of the joint groove 1a. Subsequently, a coating material having the same color as that of the joint is sprayed to make only the bottom of the joint groove 1a as coated surface of the joint color. The edge part of lumber inclines and, therefor, is easily fitted with the mask.
