PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform solid-liquid separation of a coating material sludge by extending a formed member of a water tank bottom plate of a scroll chamber front part to form a scroll chamber and further extending it to the scroll chamber rear part to form a waste water gutter so that a coating material mist is collected by liquid films and liquid drops formed in the scroll chamber. SOLUTION: The coating material mist 4 is sent to a gas-liquid contact part 10 by the sucked air 2 sucked by an air discharge fan 1. In such a case, because a partition plate 8 for forming a sucking space 9 between the scroll chamber 7 and a liquid surface 6a is mounted on the liquid surface 6a of circulating water 6 in a water tank 5a, the circulating water 6 is formed into the liquid drops at the time of passing the sucked air 2a containing the coating material mist 4 at high speed, and the sucked air 2a containing the coating material mist 4 and the circulating water 6 are brought into gas-liquid contact with each other and simultaneously the collection by the centrifugal force is performed in the scroll chamber 7. As a result, the coating material mist 4 incorporated in the circulating water 6 is separated from the sucked air 2b by eliminators 11a-11c to flow out to a water discharge gutter 13 as the circulating water 12 containing the coating material mist 4.
