PURPOSE: A shadow mask for color cathode ray tube is provided to enhance the extinction phenomenon of mask, by increasing the mask intensity of airless section in order to prevent the internal stress from delivering to a perforated section of effective surface of mask. CONSTITUTION: A shadow mask for color cathode ray tube comprises a perforated section(103), an airless section(103') and a skirt section(104). The perforated section(103) forms a prescribed curvature and has the plurality of holes. The airless section(103') extends along the outer of perforated section(103). The skirt section(104) bends from the end of airless section(103') to the bottom and connects to a frame(106). The airless section(103') has an inflection section(103a') and a bent-up section(103'b). The inflection section(103a') forms 2mm stepped cone(D1). The bent-up section(103'b) forms 1.5mm stepped cone(D2) between the inflection section(103a') and the skirt section(104).
