PURPOSE: A tester for torsional rotation is provided to easily control tension force applied to a specimen wire. CONSTITUTION: A tester for torsional rotation includes a base frame(20) having a control plate(42), a driving motor(21) horizontally installed in one side of the upper part of the base frame, a rotating chuck(22) combined with a motor shaft(21a) horizontally extended from the driving motor, a fixing chuck(24) installed relatively movable to the rotating chuck and fixing a specimen wire(23) with the rotary chuck, an air cylinder(25) horizontally and movably installed between the rotating chuck and the fixing chuck, an element for sensing rotational frequency(29) formed with a plurality of contacting points(27) on the outer peripheral surface of a chuck driver(22a) of the rotating chuck at same intervals and a rotation sensor(28) sensing the rotating shift of the contacting points, and a counter(30) displaying torsional rotation value of the current specimen wire by output sensed from the element for sensing rotational frequency.
