PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a culturing soil for growing seedlings, inexpensive, suitable for a mass production, not cracking or collapsing and being handled easily. SOLUTION: This culturing soil is obtained by agitating for mixing chaffs 12 with sheath-core conjugate fibers 14 consisting of a core part and a sheath part having a lower softening temperature than that of the core part and heating for forming, and contains 1.7×10-1-2.0×10-1 g/cm3 chaffs 12, and 2.0×10-3-8.2×10-3 g/cm3 sheath-core conjugate fibers. The culturing soil for growing seedlings preferably contains a fertilizer 16 containing at least nitrogen and is characterized by containing 2.0×10-4-4.0×10-4 g/cm3 nitrogen. |
