PURPOSE: A power element protection structure is provided to prevent user inconvenience caused by waterdrops formed at a metal-plated portion by arranging a cover for the metal-plate portion. CONSTITUTION: An outdoor unit includes a heat exchanger installed at an edge of a cabinet, a fan installed in the rear of the heat exchanger so as to cause inflow of an ambient air, a compressor installed within the cabinet and which compresses refrigerant, a diaphragm(51) for dividing the compressor area and the heat exchanger area, a power element(52) for applying a power to the compressor and fan, and a radiation plate(53) having at a rear surface thereof the power element and which is fitted to the diaphragm in such a manner as to radiate a heat generated from the power element. A cover structure(54) is installed at the diaphragm so as to cover upper, lower, left and right surfaces of the radiation plate which is arranged to be protruded from the diaphragm.
