PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for connecting a computer network IP telephone by using a voice recognition engine on an Internet server and an IP address database. SOLUTION: This telephone consists of a step in which a voice channel is opened from an IP telephone 13 to a voice recognition server 10, a step in which the name of a receiver is decided from a speech input sent to the server 10 from a caller through the voice channel, a step in which an IP address corresponding to the decided name of the receiver from an IP address database 27, a step in which a data channel is opened from the database and the IP address is sent to one telephone or another matter and a step in which logic is subjected to route specification on the telephone or another IP telephone by using the IP address to establish connection with the other IP telephone.
