PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bracket member for fastening a rivet which can reduce and simplify built-in operation process and reduce the part cost and the manufacturing cost since strictness is not required for part accuracy and built-in accuracy, when a plurality of plate members are fastened with a rivet in specified positional relation e.g. perpendicular to each other. SOLUTION: In a bracket member 10 which is used when a second plate member 2 is fastened with a rivet at right angles to a plate surface of a first plate member 1, the bracket member 10 has a base piece fastened to a first plate member, a cut and raised piece 12 which is formed by bending one end edge of a base piece at 90 deg. and is fastened to a second plate member, at least two rivet fastening holes 13, 14 formed in a base piece and positioning embossing part 15 and at least one rivet fastening hole 16 formed in a cut and raised piece.
