A compound selected from the group consisting of: ( )-10,11-dihydro-3-[3-(4-amino-2-pyridylamino)-1-propyloxy]-5H-dibenzo[ a,d]cycloheptene-10-acetic acid; ( )-10,11-dihydro-3-[2-(6-(ethylamino)-2-pyridyl-1-propyloxy]-5H-dibenzo [a,d]cycloheptene-10-acetic acid or ( )-10,11-dihydro-3-[3-(4-methyl-2-pyridylamino)-1-propyloxy]-5H-dibenzo [a,d]cycloheptene-10-acetic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof is disclosed. A pharmaceutical composition thereof is useful to treat a disease state in which antagonism of the avb3 receptor is indicated or for treating osteoporosis, atherosclerosis, restenosis or inflammation or inhibiting angiogenesis or tumour growth or tumour metastasis.
