PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the critical temperature for use of a Nd-Fe-B based magnet by including Tb and at least one or more elements of V, Cr, Mn, Zn, Mo, Ta, Zr, Hf and Cu together in the Nd-Fe-B based magnet. SOLUTION: The principal component of an Nd-Fe-B based magnet material is an Nd2Fe14B based compound, and Tb and at least one or more elements of V, Cr, Mn, Zn, Mo, Ta, Zr, Hf and Cu together are added to the Nd-Fe-B based magnet material because of improvement of temperature properties in coersive force (reduction of absolute value of temperature coefficient in coersive force). Since Tb and at least one or more elements of V, Cr, Mn, Zn, Mo, Ta, Zr, Hf and Cu in the magnet material are dissolved in solid solution in an Nd2Fe14B phase all or a portion of which is the principal phase, and change deformation of crystal lattice or a magnetic coupling state among the elements, they affect temperature dependence of magnetic anisotropy of the crystal in the principal phase, and reduction of the coersive force due to a rise in temperature can be controlled to a low level. |
