<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable system and method for retrieving stolen vehicle or the like capable of the speedy input of retrieval conditions, the retrieval of various car types and the batch retrieval of plural vehicles. SOLUTION: This retrieval system is provided with a configuration for supporting the search of a stolen vehicle or suspicious vehicle for a policeman, various car numbers or the like read by a CCD camera 11 are discriminated/ classified, a vehicle data base 152 is retrieved for each car class previously stored in a terminal and information obtained as a result of the retrieval is displayed on a display 14.</p> |
