PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position a casing ring of a timepiece precisely, and to thin the ring. SOLUTION: A method installing and fixing a casing ring 3 into a timepiece case 6 uses a ring formed with a plastic deformable material. The ring is provided with a mean 60 formed integrally for positioning, The positioning mean 60 is plastically deformed, when the ring is inserted into the case. The insertion is paused when the ring reaches a prescribed position in respect to the case 6. |
