PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of rotating operation times of a developing device when excessive developer amount stored on an excessive developer storing surface becomes equal to or above storable developer amount in the case of printing black-and-white images on many sheets. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a developing container V supported by a developing container supporting member H, successively stopped at a developing position P1 where a latent image of each color component on the surface of a photoreceptor is developed to a toner image, provided with developer stirring and carrying areas 18+19 where two-component developer is stirred and an excessive developer storing member 31 having the excessive developer storing surface 31a constituted so that the excessive developer can be stored to the specified storable developer amount and the storable developer amount of K (black) may be larger, and developing the image in each toner color. The container V is equipped with the member 31 constituted so that the developer on the surface 31a may be discharged to a developer discharge path 1 when the container V is rotated from the position P1. |
