PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compact disc cartridge suitable for carrying for housing a small-diameter optical disc. SOLUTION: The cartridge has a size of 58 mm (L1)×54 mm (L2)×4 mm (L3), i.e., a thickness thinner than 5 mm, and an area smaller than 65 mm square. A notch 10 having a width of about 2 mm (L6) and a length of 27.5 mm (with a tapered part of 6 mm (L4)+straight part of 21.5 mm (L5)) is formed at the insert side, further positioning holes 6 and loading notches 7 are formed.
