PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the concentration of NO2 or NO in a gas to be measured accurately. SOLUTION: An oxygen discharging electrode 2, an oxygen detecting electrode 3, composite electrode 4, an oxygen discharging electrode 5 for measurement, a reference electrode 6 and their respective counter electrodes 2a, 3a, and 5a are fixed to a solid electrolyte 1. The electrodes 2 and 3 are arranged in a first chamber 7a, and the electrodes 4 and 6 are arranged in a second chamber 7b. The potential difference between the reference electrode 6 and the oxygen discharging electrode 5 for measurement is detected to measure the concentration of NOx. |
