PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to objectively recognize the difference between right and left spectacle frame shapes by calculating the respective centroid positions of the right and left spectacle frame shapes from spectacle frame shape data and executing processing to match and superpose the right and left centroids. SOLUTION: The respective circumferential lengths and centroid positions of the right and left spectacle frame shapes are calculated (T1, T2) in accordance with the orthogonal coordinate values of these shapes having the respective geometrical centers as origins. The left spectacle frame shape is superposed on the right spectacle frame shape (T3) by inverting the code of the X-coordinate value of the left spectacle frame shape in such a manner that the respective centroid positions exist at the same point G. The right spectacle frame shape is fixed and the left spectacle frame shape is rotated around the point G to minimize a differential quantity (T4). This rotating angle and the minimum differential quantity are compared with respective prescribed values (T5) and if the difference is small, the mixed spectacle frame shape which is intermediate is calculated (T6). The fresh right and left spectacle frame shapes are determined (T7) in accordance with the mixed spectacle frame shape and are deformed to analogous shapes in such a manner that the respective circumferential lengths match with the previously calculated circumferential lengths. |
