PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the occurrence of the strength drop of a rotor caused by the incomplete filling of nonmagnetic substance, by sintering a rotor after formation of the flux barrier by the nonmagnetic substance around a permanent magnet. SOLUTION: In the manufacture process of the rotor of a synchronous motor, first a magnet 1 is molded in the first process, and next in the second process, thermoplastic resin being a binding agent for a nonmagnetic substance is arranged in the specified position around the magnet 1 and is sintered to form a flux barrier 2. Then, in the third process, the magnet 1 and the flux barrier 2 are arranged in the specified position of a rotor mold 3, and in the fourth process, material where Fe powder being a magnetic substance is mixed in the binding agent is let flow in the rotor mold 3, and pressure of about 800 MPa is applied to sinter it at a temperature of 275 deg.C to form a rotor 4.
