PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stable connectivity to a male terminal by abutting a support part elastically abutting on a contact piece and its recessed face to be provided inside face of a body, in the thickness direction of the contact piece so as to engage the projection into recess. SOLUTION: A support 31 provided in an inside face 30 of a body 11 elastically abuts on a recessed face 18A of a contact piece 12 so that, if the internal dimension of window parts 16 is set larger than the outer dimension of projecting parts 17, the contact piece 12 is energized in the direction of approaching to an inside face 19 so that the projecting parts 17 pressurize the prescribed inside face 30 in the window parts 16. The support part 31 energizes the contact piece 12 via an engagement means 40 so that a female terminal 10 prevents the contact piece 12 from moving relative to the body 11 along the insertion direction of the male terminal. This constitution can improve the connecting reliability relative to the male terminal connected by sandwiching to the thickness direction.
