摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of cracks in an area near a junction part to an insulator even during operation in large displacement and a high temperature by fitting each insulator in sliding contact with both edge faces of a piezoelectric operation part. SOLUTION: In a piezoelectric actuator, each insulator 4 is fit at both edge faces in a lamination direction of a piezoelectric operation part 10 formed of a lamination body which is joined integrally by laminating a piezoelectric element 1 and an inner electrode 2 alternately. Each insulator 4 is fit in sliding contact with both edge faces of the piezoelectric operation part 10. Although the insulator 4 is in sliding contact with the piezoelectric operation part 10, it is not joined. Therefore, the piezoelectric element 1 at both ends of the piezoelectric operation part 10 can freely be displaced without being restrainted by the insulator 4. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent or greatly reduce generation of cracks of the piezoelectric element 1 in an area near a junction part which was unavoidable during operation in large displacement and a high temperature in a conventional method.</p>
