PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the throughput of a parallel system by providing a polling method corresponding to a command processing configuration of each communication path in a coupling device. SOLUTION: A communication path registration table 10-12 is provided with plural entries for storing the identification information and command receiving state of each communication path 11-11-13-11, and the polling of the entries of the table is carried out by a communication path polling part 10-14, and whether or not the commands are synchronizing commands is judged by a command judging part 10-30 from the command receiving states of the entries whose polling is carried out, and when they are the synchronizing commands, a synchronizing command communication path registering part 10-31 registers the identification information of the communication paths of the synchronizing commands in a synchronizing command communication path registration table 10-34. After the polling is ended by the communication path polling part 10-14, the pooling of the entries of the synchronizing command communication path registration table 10-34 is carried out by a synchronizing command communication path polling part 10-32.
