PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an interrupt arbitration system which can cope with plural interrupt handling device and can continues interrupt handling only with the other interrupt handling devices in the case that one interrupt handling device gets faulty. SOLUTION: An arbitration signal generation circuit 3 is provided which generates arbitration signals SEL0 to SEL2 into which device numbers of external devices 2-1 to 2-8 are encoded. If an interrupt request in generated, each of external devices 2-1 to 2-8 is allowed to accept an interrupt response signal only when the value of arbitration signals coincides with the device number preliminarily set on the external device. When the slot number preliminarily set on each interrupt handling device coincides with the value of arbitration signals, only one interrupt handling device is allowed to accept the interrupt. It if cannot accept the interrupt because of any reason in this case, the other interrupt handling device is allowed to accept the interrupt.
