摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing engine for calculating an output vector as primary coupling of N pieces of vectors having N pieces of coefficients. SOLUTION: The processing engine is provided with a coefficient register 940 for holding respective expressions for N pieces of coefficients of first input vectors. A test unit 950 is provided for testing the selected part of the coefficient register for each coefficient expression. An arithmetic and logic unit(ALU) 970 selectively adds/subtracts the coordinate of a second input vector corresponding to the tested result and calculates the respective coordinates of output vectors. Power consumption is kept low by using coefficient test operation parallel with the operation of the ALU. The respective coordinates of an output vector VY can be calculated by an N+1 step algorithm and this calculation is performed by a bit test unit to be operated parallel with the ALU. A bit Ci+1 of a CPU register is tested by a temporary register while designating an address and the conditional addition/subtraction of the coordinate of a second input vector Xij is executed.
