PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an information processor and an information processing method which pick up the information required for troubleshooting in a short time with a small memory capacity to shorten the time related to restoration from a fault and troubleshooting. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a module identifier picking-up means 11 and a detailed information picking-up means 12, and the means 11 picks up the module identifier of a called module to record it in an information storage part 21 when a program is operated to call the module, and the means 12 picks up the presence/absence of a branch at the time of decision in the module and records it as one bit of 'on' or 'off' after the module identifier recorded in the information storage part 21.
