PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which enables the utilization of a large quantity of the information on a cartridge including, for example, a number of sheets and sensitivity. SOLUTION: A printer section 100 mounted on an electronic camera 11 has a housing chamber for housing the cartridge 200 to store a plurality of image formable photosensitive paper in lamination while arranging protective paper in the uppermost part in a nonuse state. When the cartridge 200 is mounted, a system controller 10 instructs the ejection of the protective paper from the cartridge 200 to a drive control circuit 108 and instructs a detecting sensor 104 to read various kinds of the information including the number of sheets and sensitivity relating to the cartridge 200 with which information the protective paper is printed.
