PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive camera with a lens protective cover capable of protecting the front part of a lens barrel when the lens protective cover is moved, and also having a high space efficiency in terms of the attachment of the lens protective cover. SOLUTION: As for the camera with a lens barrier (lens protective cover), ring-shaped projecting parts 3b and 3c are arranged on the front ornamental plate 3 of the lens barrel 4, and the lens barrier 2 which is made slidable so as to execute an opening/closing operation is arranged in front of the ornamental plate 3%. At the sliding operation, the lens barrier 2 is distorted toward the ornamental plate 3, but, the barrier 2 slides in contact with the projection parts 3b and 3c, then, the ornamental plate 3 itself is protected from being scratched.
