PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in DC voltage and hunting, when a load being connected to the output terminal of an AC/DC conversion circuit is small. SOLUTION: This power supply is provided with an AC/DC conversion circuit A for supplying a DC voltage to a load 7 and a switching operation control means 11 for controlling the operation of a switching element 4 so that the DC voltage value reaches a preset value, thus recognizing the increase in a DC voltage by varying the cut-off frequency of a low-pass filter 110a for smoothing the DC voltage value. Hence the increase and hunting in the DC voltage are suppressed and the power supply is stabilized, when load is small.
