PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyber-illustrated reference book retrieval system with which an observer can successively progress classification while talking with an information center and can efficiently retrieve target data. SOLUTION: First of all, the observer photographs an object with an image input means 111 and accesses an information center 3 concerning these data. The information center 3 presents required data from a cyber-illustrated reference book data base(DB) 31 to the observer and asks the presence/absence of similar one or difference. When the observer answers this question, the cyber- illustrated reference book DB 31 on the side of the information center displays and answers the representative example of a similar picture. When there is similar one in these images, the observer designates relevant one. Continuously, the information center 3 asks the presence/absence of relevant one in these detailed items and as a result, the cyber-illustrated reference book DB 31 on the side of the information center displays the representative image of the next classification item. By repeating such a procedure, concerning the object which is not clear in the beginning, the data aggregate of similar classification can be reached. |
