PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain high sealing ability. SOLUTION: A dust seal 2 comprises a reinforcing ring 4; a sealing member 6 mounted on the reinforcing ring 4; and a lip part 66 with which the sealing member 6 is provided. An elastic ring body 7 is held in a fitted-in state on the outer peripheral surface of the sealing member 6. When the lip member 66 is fitted in the peripheral surface of a shaft 128, the lip part 66 is forced into pressure contact with the outer peripheral surface of the shaft 128 through the elastic compression force of the elastic ring body 7 in addition to its own elastic compression force. |
