PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent heat generating power and overvoltage from concentring at a high-resistance element and hence prevent the element from being broken in advance, even if the characteristics of each element fluctuate when a plurality of superconductive current-limiting elements or heat current-limiting elements are connected in series. SOLUTION: A plurality of current-limiting elements S1-Sn of superconducting current-limiting elements, whose resistance is increased due to the quench phenomenon of a superconductor or heat current-limiting elements whose resistance is increased due to the temperature increase cause due to heat generated by overcurrent are connected in series and are inserted into an AC circuit. In this case, the same number of coil windings A1-An as that of the current-limiting elements S1-Sn is magnetically coupled densely to one another for formation, and each of the coil windings A1-An is connected with the same polarity for each of the current-limiting elements S1-Sn, and a combined inductance value, when each of the coil winding A1-An is connected in series, is made equal to or larger than the minimum value determined from a current-limiting target value. |
