PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a remote monitoring device capable of properly selecting a language to be displayed on a display part in a monitoring center without requiring complicated manual work for correcting a program. SOLUTION: The monitoring center 5 is provided with a display part 9 for displaying data corresponding to a display data signal outputted from a control part 8 built in the center 5 itself on the basis of information signals outputted from each of terminal equipment 3a to 3n for monitoring the states of equipment 2a to 2n, a translated data storage part H for previously storing words corresponding to data concerned with the information signals outputted from the equipment 3a to 3n as plural languages and a language specifying means 12 for specifying one of plural languages and constituted so as to read out the language specified by the means 12 from the storage part 11 and output the read language on the display part 9 as data.
