PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light diffusion sheet which does not require the regulation of an optical axis direction, has high luminance and is free of unevenness and a back light unit formed by using the same. SOLUTION: A light diffusion sheet 2 is composed of a base material layer 4, an upper bead layer 6 formed on the upper surface of the base material layer 4 and a lower bead layer 8 formed on the lower surface of the base material layer 4. A non-crystalline synthetic resin is mainly used for the base material layer 4. The light diffusion sheet 2 does not have an optical axis. The upper surface of the light diffusion sheet 2 is made non-smooth by the upper bead layer 6 and the lower surface of the light diffusion sheet 2 is made non- smooth by the lower bead layer 8. |
