PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure contact reliability and miniaturize a contact device by forming a spring piece in contact with a part of a counter-side connector across, at least, a first and a second face plate continued via a bent portion of a metal shield covering a connector body. SOLUTION: A spring piece 2 having its base in a rear face plate 5 and a free end portion formed in its upper face plate 3 is provided inside a notch 6 extended across the upper face plate 3 and the rear face plate 5 out of face plates crossing at right angles with each other of a metal plate shield 1 treated by punching and bending. Two each earth legs 7 under a pair of side face plates 4 are fixed to a printed circuit board. A first bent portion 12 of the spring piece 2 forms an acute angle along with the rear face plate 5, is provided in the boundary with the upper face plate 3, and the tip part warped outward from a second bent portion 13 of a free end guided and projected inward is extended over a counter-side connecter so as to be smoothly inserted. The spring piece 2 is extended across two face plates, has a sufficient span and flexibility to be miniaturized, and has the tensile force easily adjusted.
