PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a personal computer to various monitors having different interfaces by providing a monitor connecting card insertion slot serving as an interface between a monitor connecting card and a graphic controller. SOLUTION: A graphic controller 3 is controlled by a CPU l and a host bus controller 2, and it reads image data from an image memory 4 and outputs a digital RGB signal S3. A CRT monitor connecting card 6, an LCD monitor connecting card 7 or a TV monitor connecting card 8 can be inserted into a monitor connecting card insertion slot 5. The digital RGB signal S3 is fed to the CRT monitor connecting card 6, LCD monitor connecting card 7 or TV monitor connecting card 8. A personal computer can be connected to various monitors having different interfaces by selectively inserting the monitor connecting cards 6-8.
