PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain image density on a transfer paper constant regardless of any variation in a transfer condition. SOLUTION: In this device, the transfer condition is detected by a transfer condition detecting means at the time of formation of a test pattern and a target value of toner attaching quantity on an image carrier is compensated according to the detected result by a toner attachment target value compensating means (Step S3). Thus, control of the toner attaching quantity is carried out so that the toner attaching quantity on the image carrier becomes the compensated target value at the time of image formation and the image density is maintained constant in the case of being transferred to the transfer paper regardless of any variation in the transfer condition. |
