PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier recovering mechanism for preventing scatter of carrier when a recovering unit is attached/detached. SOLUTION: A developer recovering unit 69 for recovering developer discharged from a developing device 6 is attachable/detachable to/from the main body of an image forming device. In the case, with the developing device 6 and developer recovering unit 69 attached to the main body of the image forming device, the receiving port 68 of the developer recovering unit 69 is situated below the discharging port 60 of the developing device 6, and with the developer recovering unit 69 detached from the main body of the image forming device, a discharging-port shutter member 61 for closing the discharging port 60 opens/closes the discharging port 60 in a direction that is not parallel to the direction in which the developer recovering unit 69 is attached/detached to/from the main body of the image forming device. |
