METHOD OF MINIMIZING TRANSMISSION MESSAGES FOR INFORMATION ON DEMAND SERVICES

PURPOSE: A method of minimizing transmission messages for information on demand(IonD) services is provided to give inherent IDs to messages of short message services(SMSs) in a mobile communication system and to manage the messages through a duration time stamp management method and a menu reconstruction method, so as to increase network efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A terminal(11) requests messages only necessary for access to a short message service(SMS) message center(MC)(17), as maintaining menu states of the users. The SMS MC transmits a request notifying message to an SMS server(18). The SMS server transmits the request notifying message to the terminal through a mobile terminated(MT) SMS.
