METHOD FOR AUTHENTICATING RADIO TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio terminal authenticating method which can accommodate a radio terminal without newly adding a function of authenticating the radio terminal to a packet switching network. SOLUTION: A terminal ID and a service kind ID are previously given to a radio packet terminal 1 and registered in a database of a line switching communication network. The radio packet terminal is equipped with a terminal- side authenticating process function for the authenticating process of the line switching communication network. For a communication, the radio packet terminal adds the terminal ID and service kind ID to a connection request signal to a packet communication network and sends them to a radio packet base station 2. They are transferred to the line switching communication network through a control signal line 14 provided with the line switching communication network, which authenticates the radio packet terminal by referring to the authentication database.
