METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TRANSMITTING CAMERA IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the period from the moment when an image receiving side transmits a transmission request for a camera image until the moment when a visual field spatial panorama image is outputted by transmitting an image data frame obtained by dividing the camera image into a plurality of partial area images and encoding them on a camera image transmitting side and making the image receiving side perform decoding processing of the image data frame and correction processing of image distortion. SOLUTION: The terminal device 1 at a camera image transmitting side communicates with an image receiving side device 2 with a radio data transmitting means 10 by using a radio data communication line 3 and transmits a camera image inputted from a fisheye lens camera 4. The transmitting side terminal device 1 divides the fisheye lens camera image into a plurality of partial areas, encodes each partial area and also forms and transmits an image data frame to which area position range information is attached. The device 2 performs decoding processing of the image data frame and reconstructs a camera image obtained by correcting image distortion depending on the characteristics of the fisheye lens a partial area image has by using the area position range information.
