PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a fluorescent lamp causing no darkening of a center part at the beginning of lighting of the fluorescent lamp. SOLUTION: Temperature of a lamp tube center part 96 of a fluorescent lamp is made low, while temperature of lamp tube end parts 97 is made high. Because the center part 96 is made low, mercury can be gathered to the center part 96. When the fluorescent lamp is left as it is, the mercury moves to both the end parts 97 in due time, however, it takes a long time for the mercury to perfectly move. Accordingly, in the case that the fluorescent lamp is tuned on in that interval, a dark part does not occur in the center part 96.
