PURPOSE: A three-dimensional shape data processing device, a carved plate and a carving device are provided to synthesize three-dimensional shape data on a plate with a proper carved data and perform carving by the three-dimensional shape data effectively. CONSTITUTION: A 3-dimensional shape data processing device which processes data on a 3-dimensional shape to be formed in a flat plate, comprising synthesizing means(5,6) which overlaps sets of 3-dimensional data, and erases one of the sets while the other is left in each of the overlapped regions to perform synthesization, and an interpolating means(7) which provides a certain interpolation regions along the boundaries between the sets of 3-dimensional data subjected to synthesization and perform interpolation. The 3-dimensional data are interpolated so that the height of the synthesized 3-dimensional data continuously changes in each interpolation region. A carving device is disclosed for carving a plate while it is immersed in cutting oil to prevent cuttings from being welded to the cutting blade and carved plate even if the plate is made of noble metal, thereby improving the carving quality. |
