PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid congestion by automatically performing load distribution even when traffic concentrates on a single destination. SOLUTION: In a data transfer method and a device 100 which identify the destination addresses of a plurality of data packets inputted by an interface part 1 connected to an input route and select one or more interface parts and output the identified destination addresses and their data packets according to a routing table where output interface parts-3 and the destination addresses are stored, a desired destination address is allowed in the routing table to correspond to one or more output interface parts 3 and at least one output interface part is selected among a plurality of corresponding output interface parts, and transfer is performed without congestion while absorbing traffic fluctuations.
