PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adopt the constitution which allows the easy removal of contact glass without using special jigs and is capable of putting the interior of an optical unit to a cleanable state. SOLUTION: An upper projecting part 20 of a case body 19 is provided with projections 25 on both flanks and contact glass holders 26 formed of material having elasticity are installed to these projections 25 exclusive of an original reading region in the longitudinal direction of the contact glass to detain hole parts 26d. When the contact glass is removed in order to clean a first mirror, an automatic transporting section is opened and hanging arm parts 26c are elastically deformed to remove the hole parts 26d from the projections 25. When the contact glass is mounted at the case body 19, the contact glass holders 26 are elastically deformed so as to open the hanging arm parts 26c after the contact glass is mounted on the case body 19, by which the hole part 26d are fitted onto the projections 25. |
