摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex pigment having excellent light absorbing capability by coordinating a unidentate or bidentate ligand to be coordinated by acyloxy group or the like in a complex pigment formed by coordinately bonding a lignand having a specific number or more of positions capable of being coordinated in a bidentate form on a metal atom by nitrogen to a bidentate ligand having non-metal atoms required for completing 5 or 6 membered ring. SOLUTION: This metal complex pigment is expressed by formula I, (M1 and M2 are each a metal atom; BL is a ligand having two or more positions capable of being coordinated in a bidentate form on a metal atom by nitrogen; X1 and X2 are each a unidentate or bidentate ligand capable of being coordinated by a dithiocarbamate group or the like; LL1 and LL2 are each a bidentate ligand expressed by formula II; m1 and m4 are each 0 or 1; m2 and m3 are each an integer of 1-4; and CI is a counter ion for neutralizing charge). In formula II, Za and Zb are each a non-metal atom group required for independently completing a 5-6 membered ring. This photoelectric transfer element containing semiconductor fine particles sensitized by the metal complex pigment shows high photoelectric transfer efficiency and is suitable for a photoelectrochemical battery.
