PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate power loss caused by a leakage current in an undriven driving IC among driving ICs provided in a scanning side driver. SOLUTION: In this liquid crystal display device, a switching circuit 6 is arranged between a power supply circuit 7 for generating the driving voltage of scanning lines 2a and a scanning side driver 2 for inputting the driving voltage to the scanning lines 2a, and the driving voltage of positive or negative polarity is inputted to the scanning side driver 2 from the power supply circuit 7 by being synchronized with a DF signal which periodically varies into two potentials by means of the switching circuit 6.
