PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with maintenance work and to ensure the performance of a damper in any condition. SOLUTION: A first connecting member 1 and a second connecting member 11 are connected in a relatively movable manner. The first connecting member 1 comprises a rod 2 formed with ball screws 2a on the connecting side with the second connecting member 11; a guide nut 3 threadedly engaged with the ball screw 2a of the rod 2 pivotally supported via bearing balls 5 so that it rolls/slides on the ball screws 2a based on the relative displacement of the nut 3 to the ball screw 2a; and a transmitting drum 4 having a larger diameter than the rod 2 and installed rotalable/slidable integrally with the rod 2 via the nut 3. In the second connecting member 11, a casing 13 arranged so as to hold a certain gap against the inner peripheral surface of the drum 4 via a bearing 12, is formed on the connecting side with the first connecting member 1, and a permanent magnet 14 is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the casing 13. With this, a maintenance-free damper can be realized, and a large damping effect can be achieved with simple and small constitution.
