PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify constitution of a winding machine. SOLUTION: A lead wire is wound around a rotating spool 1, and a coil is formed. Guide members 7, 8 abut against the lead wire around the spool 1, and regulate the winding position of the lead wire. The guide members 7, 8 are held by a linking mechanism 9, which are installed coaxially with a spool rotating shaft and rotate synchronously with the spool. When a third actuator 21 moves a driving link 13 in the axial direction, the guide members 7, 8 move in the radial direction of the spool. When a first actuator 17 moves a holding link 11 in the axial direction, the guide members 7, 8 move in the axial direction together with the link as a whole. When a second actuator 19 makes an arm 6a to expand and contract, the guide member 8 moves independently of the guide member 7. The actuators need not rotate together with the spool. Since the actuators need not be mounted on the rotating mechanism, constitution of equipment is simplified, and the load of a spool rotating motor can be reduced.
