PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance energy efficiency through a simple structure by providing a heat exchanger exchanging heat between air sucked from the outside of a drying chamber and air from which adsorbent is regenerated thereby utilizing sensible heat and latent heat of regenerated air being exhausted. SOLUTION: When operation of a drying machine 10 is started, air passage switching means 17, 19 are operated through a control means 20 to open a dehumidification air passage 12 and a fan means 13 is operated. Drying operation is carried out while adsorbing moisture in the air through an adsorbent 14 and upon elapsing a predetermined time, the air passage switching means 17, 19 are switched to open a regeneration air passage 16 and power supply to a heating means 15 is started. Subsequently, supply air from the fan means 13 is heated and brought into contact with the adsorbent 14 which discharges adsorbed moisture. The wet air is exhausted through a heat exchanger 18 to the outside of the drying chamber 10 and the suction air required for regenerating the adsorbent 14 is heated through the heat exchanger 18.
